Dalit groups who were on their way to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Bhima Koregaon battle in Pune were allegedly attacked by right-wing groups carrying saffron flags on Monday afternoon. In the clash that followed, more than 40 vehicles were damaged, several people were injured and one person was killed. Following this violence, all the bus services in the district were suspended on Tuesday and the CM of the state has announced Rs 10 lakh compensation for the victim’s kin.
