It was like every other day for the toll staff at the Manesar toll plaza near Gurugram. But soon things changed. An Innova pulled in, as the toll attended asked for the toll, the driver said, "You'll stop my car? Even the police doesn't stop my car," and refused to pay the toll. As the attendant stood in front of his car to question, the driver accelerated away disregarding the toll staff standing in front of the car. The staff jumped onto the car bonnet and he was dragged 6 km.
The entire sequence was captured in CCTV. According to NDTV, four men were travelling in the Innova. "The driver dragged me for 5-6 km on his car's bonnet on a speed of about 100 km/hour," the toll staff said. He held onto car wipers to save his life.
"It was an abduction. The men in the car took me to an isolated place after driving for some 7-8 km toward Manesar. They stopped at a isolated place and beat me up badly," he said in his complaint. He was threatened by the men to not report or face consequences.
"The entire incident was caught on CCTV cameras. We are in a process of analysing it and managed to identify the accused," a police officer said. Two have been arrested and the car has been seized by the police, reported ANI.
