Varanasi tops the list of most polluted cities in India

According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reports, the air quality of Varanasi is the most polluted among the 42 cities monitored by the board. Varanasi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) is at an alarming 491, followed by Gurugram at 480, Delhi at 468, Lucknow at 462 and Kanpur at 461.
