According to the statistics released by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of dowry-related deaths from 2014 to 2016. Statistics reveal that in Uttar Pradesh, 7,277 cases were filed under dowry death while 218 cases were filed in Tamil Nadu.
