According to a TOI report, the number of women trying to obtain driving licence and learners licences’ (LLR) has doubled in January when compared to the previous month. Notably, the government had launched a two-wheeler scheme under which government will offer 50% of the cost or Rs 25,000 for two-wheeler to eligible women holding a drivers licence.
