MINUTES AFTER POSTING WHATSAPP STATUS, TWO FRIENDS KILLED BY A SPEEDING VEHICLE

In a tragic accident, two youths were killed by a speeding vehicle in a hit and run case on a highway near Kandivli in Mumbai on Tuesday, reports TOI.
The pair, Sagar Patel, 24, and Anil Waghela, 29, were on a borrowed scooter when they were hit by 10.30 pm. The driver fled the scene.
The duo died on the spot. Police have filed a case and probe is on. The invstigating officer said "Anil and Sagar's bodies were completely mangled. The duo was rushed to the civic-run Shatabdi Hospital, where they were declared brought dead." Both of them didn't wear helmet, said the officer.
Patel was supposed to join a job the next say said his relative. The police are checking CCTV footage to identify the driver. Around 5-10 minutes before the accident, Anil had posted a picture with a caption "'What is a best friend? A single soul in two bodies".
"I collected my son's pieces from the accident spot. Both Anil and Sagar were best friends and before the accident, they had taken a selfie on the highway and uploaded it as a WhatsApp status. And in the next 5 to 10 minutes the accident took place," said Anil's mother to Mid Day.
