In a freak accident, the Mumbai train service on Central Railway's harbour line was disrupted after a man threw a bag on the train's pantograph which totally disrupted the service.
This incident occurred at Navi Mumbai’s Vashi station where the Panvel-bound train was delayed by more than 12 minutes.
According to Hindustan Times report, a senior Central Railways officer said that the train was delayed for over 12 minutes as it caught fire after a person threw the bag on the train's overhead apparatus. On an immediate call, officials of fire brigade rushed to the spot and doused the flame.
Currently, there are no reports of any injuries. Minutes after this incident, Central Railway took to social media and requested passengers not to throw objects from trains.
