TRADERS PUT CRACKERS INSIDE VEGETABLES TO MAKE THEM 'GREEN'

The Supreme Court recently banned the use of hazardous firecrackers and instead ordered only 'green crackers' to be burst in Delhi.

The SC's order was heavily criticised by manufacturers who claimed that there was no such thing as a 'green cracker'. Taking the protest a notch higher, a few traders on Wednesday morning staged a green protest.

A few members of the Sadar Bazar Welfare Association put crackers inside green vegetables stating that it was the only was green crackers could be sold. HS Chhabra, the President of the Association reportedly told that they had no idea what green crackers are. They did not receive any list of permissible crackers as well.
