A disturbing and sad case has come to light from Tamil Nadu, where a cricket match claimed a Class X student life, who was studying at a residential school at Kodaikanal in Dindugal district of Tamil Nadu.
The Class X student was stabbed to death by his classmate on school premises. The victim has been identified as S Kapil Ragavendra. The incident took place near hostel's restroom during dinner time which is between 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
As per India Today reports, an argument broke out between Raghavendra and one of his friends, who was staying in the boy's hostel in Kodaikanal. Raghavendra was hit on his head by a cricket stump and was also stabbed on his neck by scissors.
He succumbed to his injuries when he was rushed to a private hospital. The incident came to light when the police picked up the accused near the Kodaikanal lake area and has been taken into custody, India Today further reported.
A case has also been registered after school principal S. Radhakrishna filed a compliant. As per school authorities, the accused student had been suspended twice earlier.
