THREE BODIES RECOVERED FROM MUMBAI BEACH, SEARCH ON FOR BOY MISSING

Bodies of three boys were recovered and a search is on for another boy who is feared drowned after five boys were caught in high tide near Mumbai’s Juhu beach on Thursday evening. Choppers of the navy and the coast guard and divers are searching for the missing boy. While three bodies were recovered on Friday morning, the fifth was rescued alive by lifeguards.
The Union Defence Ministry issued a statement saying, “One each navy and coast guard Chetak has taken off from INS Shikra, Colaba around 0800 hrs to continue the search and rescue of the missing boys off Juhu.”
Five boys, identified as Fardeen Saudagar (17), Sohail Khan (17), and Nazeer Gazi (22), Faisal Sheikh (17) and Wasim Khan (22), went for swimming on Thursday. While Wasim was rescued, the bodies of Fardeen, Sohail and Nazeer were recovered. The search is still on for Faisal Sheikh. Police said that the five boys were residents of DN Nagar area in suburban Andheri.
