SHOCKING VIDEO: TEMPLE ELEPHANT BEING BEATEN IN KERALA

A sad and disturbing video is surfacing the social media that is taking people by shock, where an elephant is being mercilessly beaten by its caretaker in Kerala's Thrissur district.
In this disturbing video, you can see the helpless elephant being mercilessly beaten with heavy sticks by the mahout who is in charge of it. The weak elephant is so exhausted that he lays down whenever he tries to get away from the beating.
In the video, the elephant has been chained to a tree and it’s shocking to see how badly the mahouts are beating it.
This video was uploaded on social media by animal lover and Twitter user @pramodchandrase who captioned it saying, “Karnan the gentle giant, once a temple elephant being mercilessly beaten up in Thrissur, Kerala.”
According to India.com, minutes after this video has gone viral and shared massively on social media, animals rights organisation, Voice for Asian Elephants Society took over this matter and will investigate the case.
This organsation (Voice for Asian Elephants Society) aims to protect and conserve endangered Asian elephants.
A case has been filed against the owner and regards the mahout, he has been fired from his job.
