DISHA CASE: TELANGANA HIGH COURT ORDERS RE-POSTMORTEM OF BODIES OF ACCUSED

Weeks after the four accused, who were shot dead by Hyderabad police in connection with rape and murder of Disha case; the Telangana High Court on Saturday has ordered a second post-mortem of the bodies of four men.
The four men were shot dead by the Hyderabad police earlier this month. Currently, their bodies have been preserved in the Gandhi Medical College after their death.
According to news agency ANI, the high court has asked authorities to conduct a second post-mortem by 5:00 pm on Monday (December 23). The panel will be headed by a former apex court judge V S Sirpurkar and comprise former Bombay High Court judge Rekha S Baldota and former CBI director D R Karthikeyan.
Highlighting over the incident, the veterinarian was allegedly gang-raped, killed and later burnt by the four men in Telangana’s Shamshabad on November 27.
The men had been identified as Mohammed Arif, Naveen, Shiva and Chennakeshavulu. They were killed in a police encounter at Chatanpally, Shadnagar on December 6.
