TEEN GIRL, GANGRAPED ON HER BIRTHDAY BY 'FRIENDS', DIES

A 19-year-old girl who was gangraped by her friends on her birthday has died at a government hospital on Wednesday, reports Times Now.

Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) has ordered police to submit its detailed investigation report on the case by Saturday and register a race-cum-murder case and provide financial assistance to the family as per law.

On July 7, the victim's friends insisted she celebrates her 19th birthday with them and threw a party for her. Later, they allegedly gangraped her.

Mumbai Police said, "The incident happened on July 7 but the victim was so shocked that she did not tell anyone about it. But on July 25, when her condition became critical, then her family admitted her to the hospital in Aurangabad. During her medical examination doctors come to know about the sexual assault on the victim."

The doctors said she suffered various injuries and is not in a condition to speak when she was admitted. The police filed a 'Zero' FIR in the case.
