SUDDEN TWIST IN 'SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT' CASE: POLICE FILE CASE AGAINST 'GIRLFRIEND' RHEA CHAKRABORTY AND 5 OTHERS! DETAILS

In an unexpected turn of events, Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed an FIR against the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty in Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna on Tuesday. The FIR has been lodged under sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420 and 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Reportedly, five of Sushant’s friends too have been booked for ‘abetment to suicide, cheating and conspiracy’.

In his FIR, the actor’s father has accused Rhea of conspiracy, receiving money from him and abetting his suicide. She was interrogated by the Mumbai Police almost 20 days ago for more than 9 hours in connection to the case. She was summoned for questioning by Police earlier as well.

After the complaint was filed, the state has sent a four-member team to Mumbai in order to pursue the investigation further. “As per sources, the family is unhappy about the narrative of the Chhichhore star suffering from depression and about the course of the investigation by Mumbai Police in the case. They also have not ruled out the conspiracy angle,” Republic World cited in its report.

The actor’s family has also reportedly told police that they were not aware about the actor suffering from depression or any other psychological problem and hence were unhappy about the mental health narrative as well. 

Meanwhile, investigation in connection to the actor’s suicide case is underway by the Mumbai Police. Recently, filmmaker and producer Mahesh Bhatt gave his statement in connection to the case. The filmmaker claimed that he had met the actor only twice and asserted that his production company has always given a chance to newcomers. The veteran also denied news reports that claimed that he asked Rhea Chakraborty to leave Sushant as claimed in media reports.

"Sushant Singh Rajput's elder sister Shweta Singh Kirti recently replied to a fan's query about why her family has not demanded the investigation of her brother's death to be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Shweta replied to a fan on social media who had quipped her on the same. The fan had also mentioned that if her family would demand the CBI probe, the entire country will support them in the process,” Republic World reported. \

Sushant Singh Rajput who is known for his exemplary work in movies like ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ and ‘Kai Po Che’ among others, died by suicide in his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14.
