While hearing a petition, the Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the Uttar Pradesh government, 'Won't the homeless get Aadhaar?' and added whether such homeless people won't be sheltered in government homes merely because they don't hold Aadhaar. The UP govt is said to have nonchalantly replied that such people (homeless) wouldn't be having Aadhaar but was stumped for answer when SC put forth the question of shelter for the urban homeless, quotes a report in the Deccan Herald.
