A football tournament was supposed to be held at Poongod stadium, Malappuram district of Kerala.

Last Saturday night, a football match was supposed to take place. And a large crowd had gathered around the stadium for this. A temporary spectator gallery was also set up to watch the match.
The gallery for spectators, which had been set up there before the start of the football match that day, suddenly collapsed, post which, a large light too fell onto the ground.
Shocking Video
Around 200 people were reportedly injured in the sudden crash and five people are said to have been seriously injured. In a video that is doing heavy rounds, other people and police can be seen rushing to rescue the injured.
What is the reason?
All of the injured people are currently being treated at the hospital. While this gallery is said to have been set up by wooden frames made of palm wood, it is said that the frames might not have been able to bear the weight of too many people. It has been reported that the police are investigating the committee in connection to this.
