According to reports, items like laptops may soon be barred to be taken as check-in luggage. Fire that is caused by large personal electronic devices, like laptops might reportedly go unnoticed which might result in a disaster. However, the cabin crew are now reportedly trained to handle such fire. On the other hand, if these large personal electronic devices catch fire while they are in cargo hold, it may lead to "loss of aircraft", according to a study conducted by the American Federal Aviation Administration.
