SC DIRECTS CENTRE TO DECIDE ON SCHOOL SAFETY GUIDELINES IN 3 MONTHS

The Supreme Court on Tuesday reportedly asked the Union Human Resource Development ministry to decide on framing the safety guidelines for public and private schools in three months. PILs, filed by some lawyers, sought “non-negotiable” safety conditions in schools to protect children from offences such as sexual abuse and murder, the report said.
