According to reports, a Delhi court summoned Shashi Tharoor as an accused in the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar on July 7. The Congress leader was charged for abetting his wife's suicide. Allegedly, Shashi Tharoor was reached by Pushkar through mail days before her suicide and had been asked for help. However, Tharoor ignored her.
Shashi Tharoor was also accused of cruelty against his wife. Pushkar even had minor injury marks on her, which is a proof for their frequent fights. Reportedly, the politician avoided her and disconnected her calls days before her death. However, Tharoor waved away the accusations and called it 'preposterous'.
Reportedly, Tharoor was the only person to be named as an accused in the 3,000-page charge sheet.
