The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Thursday came with a rule that banks should accept coins of all denominations from customers. Allegedly, according to the RBI, despite the fact that banks should not decline small denominations of any sorts, complaints have been reaching them. This would be of huge inconvenience for shopkeepers and small-time traders. RBI stated that refusal of any denomination shall result in a penal action.
