CAUGHT ON CAMERA: RAHUL GANDHI BUSY ON PHONE DURING PRESIDENT SPEECH

Congress president Rahul Gandhi has once again landed in trouble for the wrong reason. He has been caught for not paying attention to President Ram Nath Kovind's joint address of the Parliament on Thursday.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha tweeted a video showing Rahul busy on his phone.  

According to India Today reports, the Gandhi scion was seen scrolling through his phone and then typing away for about 24 minutes of President Kovind's one-hour speech. While his mother and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi listened to the speech and even applauded in between, Rahul Gandhi did not laud the President for any of the topics he spoke on.

Rahul Gandhi was also seen clicking photos of the Parliament and talking to Sonia Gandhi for about 20 minutes while President Kovind continued to discuss key achievements of the Modi government in the past five years, reports India Today.

When the entire House broke into a loud applause after President Kovind mentioned the Uri surgical strikes and the Balakot airstrike, even Sonia Gandhi was seen thumping the table in appreciation but Rahul Gandhi kept staring at the floor unmoved. This prompted Sonia Gandhi to stare at him a few times but Rahul Gandhi continued to sit still, India Today further reported.

Few days back, Rahul brush into another controversy where he was pointed out for forgetting the Parliamentary custom.

Media reports say that, the four-time MP, after taking oath as member of Lok Sabha, forgot that he had to sign the Parliament register after being sworn-in by Protem Speaker Virender Kumar. It was only when Rajnath Singh and other Parliamentarians signaled that he was going in the wrong direction that he took notice. An official reminded him of the Parliament procedure and then he returned to sign the register after taking oath.
