Puducherry Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Rajiv Ranjan has reportedly said that car and heavy vehicles are banned from entering the city on December 31 ahead of New Year. It is also announced that tourists can call 95005 60001 for complaints such as exorbitant auto fare, eve-teasing and theft. The ban may disappoint those who have plans to go to the city by car for the new year celebrations.
