Professor held for passing lewd remarks at students, demanding sexual favors

An FIR has been registered against Atul Johri, who teaches life sciences at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University for allegedly passing lewd remarks at female students and also demanding sexual favours from them. The professor, however, rubbished the claims of the students saying that he was being unfairly targetted for insisting on attendance. The Delhi police booked a case under sections 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
