Prime Minister Narendra Modi finally broke his silence on Unnao and Kathua rape cases on Friday at the inauguration of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar memorial in Delhi. He reportedly said that such cases are a blot on a civilised society and that as a society it is shameful. He said, "I want to assure the country that no culprit will be spared, complete justice will be done. Our daughters will definitely get justice."
Reportedly, the PM had also said that change should be brought about within the family and said, "When a daughter comes home late, we're quick to ask them where they have been. But when a son returns late at night, we should ask them the same question."
