Former president Pranab Mukherjee's nod to grace an RSS event to be held on June 7 at Nagpur, has left political parties divided with some from the Congress camp being miffed about the decision while some others like Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari affiliated to the BJP, which is the parent organisation of RSS, hailed the move as being democratic and revolutionary and transcending political boundaries.
RSS on its part said that it was tradition to call upon established leaders and opposition leaders needn't be viewed as enemies or adversaries.
