CENTRE ISSUES WARNING TO WHATSAPP OVER THIS REASON

Taking into cognisance, instances of innocent people being killed over rumours of being child-lifters being spread on WhatsApp, centre has asked the social networking platform owned by Facebook to take immediate action to end the menace of spreading messages that impact the country's law and order situation and ensure that the platform is not used for such malicious activities, an official statement said here on Tuesday, says a report in The New Indian Express.
