This has taken the total tally to 47.5 lakhs and it is the fatalities have amounted up to 78,586 in the country. The Union Health Ministry, in view of latest developments, released fresh protocols on Sunday.
According to the statements made by the ministry, those who recovered from the infection may continue to have symptoms such as body ache, cough, sore throat, fatigue, and difficulty in breathing. It has been made clear that those with severe symptoms or pre-existing health conditions might not recover easily. Their recovery period might prolong and hence, the ministry has emphasised on “post-Covid management protocol.”
The Ministry has very strongly advised physical exercises for those who have recovered from the infection in order to boost the immunity. The Health Ministry suggested Yoga, Pranayama and walks in its post-Covid management protocol.
The recovery rate in India has come up to 77.88 per cent. Hence, the ministry has deemed it necessary for those who have recovered to build on their immunity. Maharashtra, in the last 24 hours has recorded over 22,000 cases followed by Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with over 9,000 cases each.
Tamil Nadu in the past 24 hours has recorded 76 fatalities.
