Amidst the ongoing outcry against the razing of Lenin’s statue in Tripura and vandalism of a Periyar’s statue in Tamil Nadu, some unidentified persons ‘blackened’ a bust of Jana Sangh leader Syama Prasad Mookerjee in Kolkata on Wednesday. Parts of the bust were reportedly damaged using a hammer and a chisel, and six people have been arrested.
