In a shocking case, a young man in Uttar Pradesh's Siddharth Nagar district, was beaten, dragged and slapped by two policemen on the main road on Tuesday.
This horrifying incident was caught on camera which is currently going viral on social media. This video has outraged many and demanded justice, while the reason behind this incident is not clear yet.
In the video, a small boy, who looks terrified can see his uncle being mercilessly thrashed by the cops. He also pleads to the policemen to let his uncle go.
The young man has been identified as Rinku Pandey, who was riding a motorcycle. While the sub-inspector has been identified as Virendra Mishra and head constable Mahendra Prasad.
As per News18 report, the two policemen have been suspended and a departmental probe has also been ordered in the matter. Initial investigation reveal that Rinku, had entered into an argument with the police when they stopped him to check his papers.
The footage shows, one of the policemen even sits on the man's back while he is pinned to the ground. They also pull him by his hair. The child also seems to have injured his hand, reports NDTV.
"If it is my fault, you can lock me up in jail," the man tells the policemen. Meanwhile, senior police officer Dr Dharm Veer Singh said, "it is being said that he was drunk. The two policemen beat him up badly, pushed him to the ground and behaved badly with him. Both of them were in uniform. It is disgraceful to the police department".
