PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Chennai for a 2-day informal summit. During the meet, they discussed about various issues from tackling terrorism, investment, trade, good relationship between the two nations and so on.
Modi had worn Veshti while recieving Xi and the visuals made a buzz to see him in a different attire. He was also seen 'plogging' during his visit to Chennai where he cleaned the beach.
Now he had shared a picture on his social media where he wrote a poem on ocean and tweeted it with a caption which translates to "Yesterday in Mahabalipuram, I got lost in the conversation with the ocean while strolling along the coast. This conversation carries the world of my feelings. I am sharing the feeling with you in the form of a poem."
In the eight-paragraph signed poem, which starts as "Hey Saagar, tumhein mera pranaam!" (Hey ocean, my salute to you), Modi describes the ocean's relationship with the sun, the waves, and its pain.

The loose translation for the first three paragraphs is given below.
"Hey... ocean!!!
My salute to you!
You are courageous, earnest,
You give life to the world, your water is blue!
This deepness, this vastness
Your form is unique!
Hey... ocean!!!
My salute to you!
The waves on the surface, the naughtiness,
Sometimes above, sometimes below,
The magestic thunderous waves,
This is your pain, your furiosity
And then anguish?
You are never distracted
never anxious never frightened
Because you are the depth!
Hey... ocean!!!
My salute to you!
You have inexhaustible source of power,
Unlimited energy wrapped within self,
But still tied up to your prohibitions,
You never cross your boundaries!
You help with the sense of nobility every moment!"
