Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Thursday reportedly laid the foundation stone for India’s first bullet train project. Japan is offering a financial aid of Rs 88,000 crore for the Rs 1,10,000 crore project. The train, to run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, will cross a distance of 508 kms in 2 hours and 7 minutes. There will be 12 railway stations and 468 flyovers on the way. The train will attain a maximum speed of 350 kmph and will cross a distance 20 km in underground tunnel.
