The Supreme Court on Tuesday reportedly passed an order that it is not compulsory to play the National Anthem in cinema halls across the country. The Centre had on Monday asked the SC to review its previous order on the issue. The Centre informed the apex court that it had set up an inter-ministerial committee to frame rules on the issue and sought a time period of six months to come up with the rules.
