In an apparent dig at PM Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that people are missing an ‘educated PM’ like Dr. Manmohan Singh. The Aam Aadmi Party leader wrote on Twitter, “People missing an educated PM like Dr Manmohan Singh Its dawning on people now (sic).”
Kejriwal tweeted on Thursday along with an article in The Wall Street Journal about how India’s underperforming currency would affect the investments climate in India.
While PM Modi is accused of having a fake degree, former PM Manmohan Singh was a stellar academician. The former Governor of Reserve Bank of India (1982-1985) completed his DPhil from Oxford University and served at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Dr. Singh also served on the Delhi School of Economics faculty.
