The Indian Railway Board has reportedly advised passengers to carry home-cooked food on trains, amid the ongoing reports of 'unfit' food being served on trains. The chairman of Railway Board AK Mittal on Sunday said, "Carry home-cooked food as quality-wise there is no alternative of such food". He also added that base kitchens are being set up to ensure quality food, and they will be operational within a year.
