The Supreme Court-appointed Environment Pollution Prevention and Control Authority has reportedly recommended to the Delhi government to hike the parking charges by four times in order to discourage people from using private vehicles. The panel’s decision comes in the wake of worst air quality that Delhi witnessed on Tuesday. The panel has also reportedly recommended the return of the odd-even scheme to regulate cars and a reduction in the Delhi metro fares.
