WOMAN TIED TO TREE, FLOGGED FOR ELOPING IN UP'S BULANDSHAHR

According to reports, a woman was flogged in public by her husband on the orders of the village panchayat for eloping with another man in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district. The video of the incident, which reportedly took place on March 10 at Launga village, was widely circulated on social media. Police reportedly arrested the woman’s husband, a former panchayat head, and her son. They also registered a case against 18 people, 12 of them unidentified.
