Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been given special security by the Mumbai Police after the Rajput organisation Karni Sena threatened physical harm over 'Padmavati' controversy. According to reports, in an alleged video, Karni Sena's president said, "Rajputs never raise a hand on women but if need be, we will do to Deepika what Lakshmana did to Surpanakha," referring to the act of cutting the nose off.
