Over 140 animals have been found dead in the Kaziranga National Park due to the floods in Assam that has inundated 80% of the 481 sq km area of the park, say reports. Divisional Forest Officer of the park Rohini Ballav reportedly said, seven rhinos, 122 swamp deer, two elephants, three wild boars, two hog deer, three sambhar deer, one buffalo and one porcupine died since August 10 when the Brahmaputra river water entered the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
