An education officer in Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh reportedly issued a circular directing the principals and headmaster of all government and private schools in the districts to stop using Padmavati film’s song titled ‘Ghoomar’ during cultural programmes in their institutions. Report say, the circular was issued requesting not to hurt the sentiments of Hindus by playing the song. However, the circular was withdrawn immediately and a show cause notice has been issued to the officer to explain his actions.
