ONLY 'GOOD' TOURISTS WELCOME IN GOA, MINISTER OFFERS 'EXPLANATION'

Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar on Tuesday stirred a hornet's nest when he said that only "good tourists" are welcome in the state, adding that the onus is on tourists to preserve Goa's rich culture and natural beauty.
Ajgaonkar further urged tourists to not misbehave with women under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, the comments of Goan Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar attracted attention as well when he announced that people found drinking in public in the state will be fined ₹2,500 beginning from August 15.
