Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot has reportedly told the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) to ‘fully gear up’ for implementation of the Odd-Even scheme "as and when" it is announced. Gahlot reportedly said that the government may have to resort emergency measures including the Odd-Even scheme to control pollution levels in Delhi. The Odd-Even scheme which is based on the last digit of the vehicle's registration number was implemented twice in 2016.
