According to a TOI report, based on a survey conducted by the health ministry, a large number of sexually active women in India are opting for safe sex. The report of the survey says that usage of condom in unmarried women has gone up to 12% from 2% in 10 years. The survey was conducted on women from 20-24 years of age.
