Niti Aayog vice-chairman Arvind Panagariya, who was handpicked by PM Modi to head the National Institution for Transforming India, has reportedly resigned from the post. Reportedly, his last day in the office will be August 31. The 64-year-old is a former Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank and holds a PhD degree in economics from Princeton University. Reportedly, he had also worked with the World Bank, IMF and UNCTAD in various capacities.
