A fourth member of the same family in Kerala died of the rare Nipah virus on Thursday.
The family's home in Kozhikode village is where the disease that has so far caused 12 deaths originated.
Many dead bats, which were carriers of the infection, were found in the home's well.
Significantly, the family was being treated by nurse Lini who breathed her last on Monday not before penning an emotional note to her family.
Meanwhile, Kerala and the centre have reiterated that the infection has been contained locally and that there needn't be any panic regarding the outbreak to other states.
As of now, there is no vaccine to treat Nipah, says World Health Organisation.
