Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's statue vandalized on Independence day

Freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose's statue, which was to be inaugurated on Independence Day near the Panchayat grounds in the district of Birbhum in West Bengal, was reportedly vandalized. The people of the town woke up to a damaged statue filled with tar. The people allegedly complained to Khairasole police station and reportedly said,if the police cannot find the culprit, they would start the hunt themselves.
