JEE AND NEET EXAM 2020 POSTPONED; HRD MINISTER ANNOUNCES DATES: CHECK DETAILS
Home > News Shots > IndiaUnion HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET 2020) have been postponed. The decision has been taken due to the prevailing situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
According to a Money Control report, the JEE Main – entrance exam will be held from September 1 to 6 and JEE Advanced will be held on September 27, while NEET will now be held on September 13. Even, JEE Advanced too stands postponed.
Taking to social media, the HRD Minister said, “I hope you will utilize this time to prepare well and hone your strong points further.” He also emphasized on “stress-free” exam preparations.
He posted the video, with a note saying, "Keeping in mind the safety of students and to ensure quality education we have decided to postpone #JEE & #NEET examinations. JEE Main examination will be held between 1st-6th Sept, JEE advanced exam will be held on 27th Sept & NEET examination will be held on 13th Sept."
This is the second time where the exams have been postponed; earlier there were to be held in April and May, respectively.
The HRD minister had to reconsider on conducting the exam after emails and requests were received from worried students and parents across the country and abroad.
