Addressing a rally at Bangarapet on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jab at the Manmohan Singh reign. He said, "When Manmohan Singh had his government in the Centre, the remote control was at the 10, Janpath (residence of former Congress President Sonia Gandhi)."
He went on to say that under his rule, his remote control is with the 1.25 crore people of India. He said that he listens only to the high command of the citizens and nobody else.
Reacting to Modi's comment, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said that Modi's remote control lay in the hands of RSS. He asked Modi to stop talking about unnecessary things, and concentrate on developmental works.
