MODI SWEARING-IN CEREMONY: CHECK LIST OF CM'S NOT ATTENDING THE EVENT

The day has arrived when Narendra Modi is all set to take oath as Prime Minister again in a star-studded swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital on Thursday (May 30), along with his Council of Ministers.
According to Times Now reports, more than 8,000 guests will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from the leaders of BIMSTEC countries, which includes Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan, heads of the states from Kyrgyzstan and Mauritius will also grace the ceremony touted as the biggest ever event that is being held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Among all this, there are a few Chief Ministers who would NOT be attending the event when PM Modi and his Council of Ministers take oath of office and oath of secrecy. Here is the list of CMs not attending PM Modi's swearing-in ceremony:
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee
Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy
Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao
Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh
Mizoram CM Zoramthanga
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik
Banerjee made it social that she decided to skip the event as a sign of protest against BJP’s allegations over political murders in her state. On the other hand, Reddy and KCR announced that they would not be attending the event as Reddy, who took the oath as Andhra CM earlier, has invited KCR and DMK chief MK Stalin for lunch.
Media reports state that, many senior Indian politicians have also confirmed their attendance at the ceremony, including UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, former PM Manmohan Singh and former President of India Pratibha Patil.
