ALLEGED RAPIST STRIPPED NAKED, PARADED BY PUBLIC

A mob largely owing allegiance to a women organisation stripped a man alleged to have raped a Class VII girl and paraded him naked in Longleng district of Nagaland.
 

The accused has been identified as Longya Phom, a 29-year-old daily wage earner. The minor girl and the accused are said to be neighbours.
 

It was the women organisation that caught the accused after being informed of the incident by the relatives of the survivor.
