MAN THRASHED FOR SELLING BEEF, FORCED TO EAT PORK

In a shocking and distressing incident, a Muslim man from Assam's Biswanath district was thrashed and abused for allegedly selling beef. The man identified as Shaukat Ali, 68, was beaten on the road and forced to eat pork as punishment by the mob.

In a video that is going around on social media, Shaukat Ali can be seen kneeling in mud surrounded by an angry mob. Where he is being asked about why he is selling beef and if he has the license to do so. The angry mob also demand that Shaukat Ali declare his nationality. They keep asking if he is Bangladeshi or if he has a National Register of Citizen (NRC) certificate. This horrifying video is sure to give you shocks.

According to NDTV, the police have detained at least five people after the viral video showed the man on his knees in deep slush, begging to let him go. He is currently being treated at a government hospital in Assam.

Hours after the incident, two separate First Information Reports (FIR) have been filed - one of them is by Shaukat Ali's brother and the other by Kamal Thapa. The police is currently on a lookout for the men in the video.
